Our friendly and compassionate staff is committed to providing quality care for your pet. We treat our patients with the same care and compassion as if they were our own. We will provide you with the most up to date information in our field so your lovable pet can have a long and healthy life. We look forward to meeting and serving you!
During the warmer months it is even more important to keep your pet up to date with flea, tick, and heartworm protection. While pets are succeptible year-round, warmer weather means higher succeptibility. We offer the protection your pets need to stay healthy and happy this summer.
What you need to know about: Fleas, Ticks, and Heartworms
- Fleas: A good flea control program treats both your pets and your pet's environment. Treating your pets for fleas has never been easier with the many products we offer today! We can customize a program that is safe and effective for your pet. Just ask one of our friendly staff members!
- Ticks: Spring and Summer is the season for flea and tick infestations. While we offer tick preventative they can still be difficult to control so we also reccomend Lyme vaccination as well. The more time your pet spends outdoors the greater their risk of infection.
- Heartworms: Heartworm disease is a very serious, and potentially fatal one. Adult heartworms are found inside of the heart and adjacent blood vessels. At the time of diagnoses one dog could have as many as 300 worms, gradually clogging the heart. These adult heartworms may live up to 5 years, while the female worms continue to produce millions of offspring. These worms can measure up to 14" long. Heartworms are transmitted by mosquitoes, and it is critical to keep your pet on a heartworm preventative. Even though dogs are most commonly effected by heartworms, cats are also succeptible to the disease. While there is currently no treatment for heartworms in cats, we do offer preventative options. It is much more safe and affordable to prevent heartworms than to treat them.
- Products we offer: We offer many products to keep your pet safe from these parasites such as; Scalibur collars, Trifexis, Triheart, Revolution, Preventick collars, Comfortis, and Frontline Tritak.
